We are passionate about knitting...

Sweetheart Knits was created by Cath and she is passionate about a number of things.

Firstly an end to disposable clothes.

"I believe that clothes should be made with care and attention and reflect the personality of the wearer. My hope is that once the woolly item is no longer required then it will be PASSED ON for others to enjoy. Friends, family, charity shops or the item can be undone and made into something new and beautiful."

Secondly  Wool / Yarn and its endless possibilties. I have over 1000 patterns, vintage through to modern. However I appear to have a gap in the 1980's (not a good fashion decade).

Third- Connecting with the past- My mum had a wool shop when I was growing up and she knitted my sister and I many lovely clothes; although the matching wool cardigan, hat, scarf, gloves and legwarmers may have been a bit much!

I still have her crochet throws on my sofa; great for cold evenings. These are over 35 years old and recently she said she would undo them and make new blankets- imagine that.

So my aim is to offer baby and childrens clothes that are bright practical and a little different that rekindle childhoods gone by.

I hope that I can pass on a little of my passion.
